East Coast Inspired Ranch Renovation
Renovating a home is always a rewarding experience, but when a client has a clear vision that incorporates cherished memories and a clear vision , it becomes even more special. Our recent ranch renovation project brought a slice of the East Coast to West Coast San Diego, transforming the living room, staircase, and primary bathroom into spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
Primary Bathroom Retreat
The primary bathroom renovation was all about creating a traditional, elegant space with a touch of East Coast charm. A standout feature in the bathroom is the bubble chandelier - a fun piece that still adds to the overall aesthetic. The client’s love for the color blue inspired us to select stunning blue tiles for the shower. This not only brought in her favorite color, but also added a refreshing and tranquil feel to the bathroom. This spa-worthy bathroom is now a relaxing retreat.
A special piece in the bathroom is the boat picture painted by the client’s grandfather. This sentimental artwork adds a personal touch and a family connection, making the space even more special and meaningful.
One of the client’s must-haves in the renovation was the use of marble. We incorporated this material in both the bathroom and living room. In the bathroom, we used marble to surround the tub and in the stunning herringbone floors. I love the luxurious feel these two features added to the space. We also incorporated marble in the living room around the fireplace.
Cozy and Elegant Family Room
The family room renovation focused on creating a cozy, inviting space that also reflects traditional elegance. We designed the fireplace with fluted marble stone, which serves as a stunning focal point. The fluted design adds texture and depth, while the marble brings in the classic feel the client desired.
Next to the fireplace, we installed built-in cabinets below and wood floating shelves above. A beautiful wallpaper behind the shelving made the space pop, while still adding to the overall cohesiveness. This space is perfect for family gatherings, cozy movie nights, or simply relaxing by the fire.
Staircase Makeover
The staircase renovation was all about making a statement. We transformed the existing staircase into a grand feature that welcomes guests. By incorporating traditional design elements and neutral, earthy tones, the staircase now sets the tone for the entire home.
This ranch renovation project beautifully blends the client’s East Coast roots with the laid-back elegance of San Diego. The spaces are both visually stunning and functional, while also reflecting the client’s own personal style and vision.
